A Note About the Minutes...

It is so wonderful to see a family so excited about its yearly meeting! It has been very enjoyable to re-type all these minutes and reflect on how things have changed. My father-in-law was the Secretary for a couple years. My brother-in-law, too, served on the Excutive committee. I came to the Reunion in 1988, wondering if this would be my family someday, and by the Reunion in 1989, it was.

One thing about history--it can be messy. There were several times that I was typing the minutes and there were some misspellings or punctuation or grammar mistakes in the original sheets. This is to be expected with all the varied people recording the notes, and I did not want to deem accuracy to the documents as more important than the content. Nor did I want to offend people who were recording that history with honest mistakes, or my mis-reading of their handwriting.

Therefore, these minutes reflect the content of the document with my editing for grammar, punctuation and spelling. I have not edited recorded names for fear of my mistaking who they really mean to be identifying. There has been no change to the sentence structure of the minutes. If you would like a copy of the orignal recording of these notes, click here and fill out the contact form requesting these minutes. I will then scan the minutes for you and send them to you.

Sincerely,

Carolyn Schlicher
