August 3, 1997
President Roy Gable, Sr. opened the meeting and welcomed everyone. The day was warm and sunny with a soothing breeze.
We sang the opening song, "My Country, 'Tis of Thee." Roy Gable, Sr. led the group in singing from his old program. The opening song was changed to "O Beautiful for Spacious Skies."
The Secretary's report was given. A motion was made to accept by Walter Young. Second by Denny Frederick.

Treasurer's Report was given with a beginning balance of $226.00. Expenses to date were $162.17. A motion was made by Walter Young to accept. Second by Tony Masessa.
Old business:
The recipe book is still available from Clara Masessa. Only one recipe was received since last Reunion.
New business:
Roy Gable, Sr. had everyone wear a name tag this year. Everyone agreed it is a great idea and should be continued.
Denny Frederick, the upcoming President, asked the group for ideas in celebrating the 75th Reunion next year. Ideas were a group photo, publication in the newspaper.
Tony Masessa reported he had updated family trees at a cost of $2.50 each.
Florence Schlicher reported this was the 50th year the Reunion has been held at their farm.

Game Committee: Valerie Neal was nominated and accepted.
Special Presentations:
Florence Young: gave three funny stories
Abigail Schlicher, Micaiah Schlicher and Elisabeth Schlicher sang a song, "Mr. Sun."
Game Committee: Special gifts for the following categories:
1) Oldest car driven to the Reunion
2) Newest married couple present
3) Youngest child present
4) Person with most safety pins with them
5) Lawn chair in most need of repair
