As with a family, no one person makes a project completely on his or her own. Take any famous person, known for great contributions, and behind that man or woman were other people training, nurturing, contributing, communicating with and participating in that person's life. This is certainly true for the pages you see on the Gable Reunion website.
The following have helped out with notes, letters, emails and personal interviews to help disseminate this information to you. This isn't an Academy Awards speech, so if I've forgotten you, I want to put your name here. Let me knowI don't want to forget anyone!
In no particular order:
- Norman Gable, Anthony Massesa, and Curt Reinik for working intensely on the Gable family tree
- Stanley Degler, for accurate reporting of errors
- Florence Schlicher, for extensive knowlege of the Willoughby Gable clan, and sending all those obituaries to over the years
- William Schlicher, for documenting previous Reunions with his camera and sharing them, and for being just a really sweet guy!
- William and Florence Schlicher, for the use of their farm every year
- Anne Follweiler, for the extensive historical work done on her clan and line and then sharing
- Abigail, Elisabeth, Micaiah, Tabitha and Simeon Schlicher, for letting Mommy work on this project for much of the summer 2004
- Darryl Schlicher, not just a "husband extraordinaire," but a dependable web wizard who looked at an awful lot of code to find bugs!
- All of the family members who have served the Reunion on the Executive Committee. Thanks especially to the meeting minute-takers. Who knew you'd be recording history for this site?
- Mark Minerd, whose own genealogical website provided much inspiration and conceptual planning for this site. (www.minerd.com)
- Bill Kratzer, an HTML genius! No stylesheet is safe in your presence! The W3C bows down to you! :=)
- Christopher Garrett, who far exceeded a browser testing request! Watch for him on future Academy Awards ceremonies...
- Mickey and Nancy Wutka, for photos!
- (Kathy) Gable Young, for pictures and stories!
