OFFICER DESCRIPTIONS

August 1, 2004

The 81st Annual Reunion was held on Sunday, August 1, 2004 at the farm of William and Florence Schlicher. The day was hot, humid and cloudy with sprinkles throughout the Reunion. The porch thermometer read 89 degrees in the shade. The potluck began at 12:30 with Russell Young leading us in prayer.

Getting name tags and attendance sign-ins was delayed due to the Secretary, Carolyn Schlicher, locking her keys in her car. There were 36 people in attendance.

Curt Reinik began the meeting at 2:30 PM. Turnout was light, probably due to soaking showers earlier in the day. "America the Beautiful" was sung.

The Secretary's Report was read. Dennis Frederick made the motion to accept the minutes and Randy Young seconded.

In addition, Carolyn Schlicher told the family of the upcoming website, www.GableReunion.com. She asked that representatives from each existing line volunteer to be her "point person" for information regarding that line. She also brought along some Reunion photos and asked that people identify others on the photos. These will be listed on the website. K. Gable Young moved that Carolyn be thanked for this effort.

Meeting was adjourned at 3:03 PM.

There was no hayride this year, but plenty of black cherry, chocolate marshmallow and fudge ripple ice cream was consumed.

Because of a misunderstanding, both Carolyn Schlicher and Curt Reinik printed up agendas for today. Curt took Carolyn's agendas and will use them next year since the Reunion paid for the printing of them.

Respectfully submitted, Carolyn Schlicher, Secretary
